My long blond hair has been down to the lower/middle of my back for 30 years. It has no effect on my carreer or personality. I am a very successful master electrician. .....and I say "Rock On "

The more friction between EVH and DLR, the better the product! The best stuff happens when you have been driven to your wits end... the gloves come off... and you start getting some "I was pretending it was your face!!" type inspired performances.

I think that's the problem. I don't think there is any friction. I think Eddie dictates terms of recording, touring, press, etc. Dave can go along with it or not be a part of the program.

I mean, if a band records music tracks in LA and the singer works on lyrics and vocals in New York, you don't exactly have "push/pull", creative tension, collaboration.....it's paint by numbers! Though I would concede, paint-by-numbers from Van Halen would be better than a lot of bands' best collaborative efforts!

My guess is they will do something pretty cool. Worthy of interest. But more reflective of Eddie's musical tastes (and guitar sound) of the last 20 yrs. And they'll stay in different hotels and dressing rooms throughout the tour!

When people get too comfortable with each other, they often lose the essence of creativity!

I don't like to be around a comfortable person. I can't be around a comfortable person. Nothing bounces off them. You get nothing.
