Jose Master Volume question

Post by harddriver » Tue Sep 04, 2007 7:33 pm

From the looks of the schematic I got where does the master volume tap in at V1 100K or at V2?

Someone better get a good schematic up before someone electrocutes themselves... Big difference in voltage at a plate resistor vs. a cathode...like 100's of volts!

Right - with the difference, that the diode's stripes are facing away of each other, and only the one to ground is a zener. The upper diode is a regular 1N4007.

Moreover the tone stack is a 33K/500p

okay i edited it

and u r correct. the schem shows 33k/.00047 = 33k/470pf but I'm only doing the layout to show where the master is. :D

but how can u tell on the schem the diodes being used i wonder?

Mark told me "So after the cap that goes to the master you add back to back 20v zeners to ground."

Because my last name is DIODE

Just kiddin'!

I didn't see it on 'this' schem of course, but I simply know, how to place diodes, to realize a 'clipper' in a signal path. This are just simple rules of physics.

Kevin O'Connor suggests 10v zeners in this position. Its in TUT1.
