Sounds great. Sounds like the songs you are playing. Hey Mark, You think you could cop the sound of Die Laughing??(Pasadena Hilton) I just sent off for my Transformers, boards, tubesockets, wire and some other parts and I really like to build an amp with the Die Laughing sound. Maybe its because of the outboard gear he's using?(echo, etc) Iguess Im going to have to spring for an Old ecoplex or one of those EC83 (UNIVOX?) I guess Im also going to have to investigate some other pickups rather then these Duncan Distortion,78,Evolution and EMG,s that I have! :? Any of you guys have any experence with the older MXR distortion+3 from the 70's?? If so whats the scoop on them there pedals??

Beaulieu, the mxr distortion III pedal is a new pedal that came out in jan,2007, you are probably thinking about the distortion II pedal which had 4 knobs.

plug in a cable to the guitar and put your one probe on the tip of the cable and one on the shaft. That will tell you the resistance.

You first want to measure the resistance in the guitar cable. Then plug the cable into the guitar jack and measure the pickup with cable resistance. Next

Im going to comment like you were my best friend and give you some advice. Dont take it wrong. Dude don't drag all your gear to the music store!Sure,go down a ck the guitar, play it,take a bib so you don't drull on it!! FWIW I saw a guy on you tube that video taped himself plyin the Ed guitar and I thought" I bet them guys cringe when they see people coming" Sure if you were going to actually buy it it. But just to compare?? I know its a "cool" guitar but its actually just an old piece of crap! A cool one mind you! I know it plays good, sounds good but it costs way to much! Even those EVH the Ed plays in Concert. ED should give them to a fan. Not sell then! Dosent he have enough money??
