Most people arent very specific about Marshalls. God knows Marshall wasnt. Theres 69 and later amps (aka 6 chassis mount filter can amps), theres the JTM-100s, then theres all that stuff in between.rockstah wrote:stan? 67 12 series? you must mean late 67 or early 68 - tell us the spec yer using in the amp.bmf5150 wrote:man,i have to say i love the 67 super lead 12 series spec amp with the tom holmes 455 pickup and the celestion heritage g12m greenbacks!what tone!!im going to look for my recoeding gear and see if i can get a clip.i think its the closest to the VH sound i have ever come!playing next to the album,it just blends in tone wise!

the interesting thing is that masterkeepers serial number is very close to the EVH magic marshall serial number!here is master keepers amp specs.
serial no 12267
Split cathode V1a 250uF/820,V1b .68/820
All coupling caps are 0.022uF,Bright channel coupling cap is 0.0022uF
bright cap on vol pot 0,005uF
470k mixer resistors
470pF mixer bypass cap
Bypass cap on V2a is .68uF
33k/556pF tone stack combo
47k NFB resistor at 4 ohm tap
220k bias splitter resistors
0.1 uF cap on presence control
