Looks like re-branded Sozo caps. Sozo branded caps are being sold through CEDist now. Looks to me like someone bought the rights to the brand and someone else bought the product. I would bet $100 they are the same cap.

Coldengray has it right. The SRMs are the product... the others are something else.
Now only the SRMs say made in the U.S.A.

Hmmm, glad I procrastinated finishing populating my turret board. I just purchased a few of these just now.
Will see how it goes. Hopefully well because they ain't cheap.

Using these in my amps now. Great cap, done comparisons to original mustards and they are spot on.

Re: Synergy Royal Mustard Capacitors from Valvestorm
I'm confused. You are saying the SRM's are THE product and are made in the USA. I understand John sold exclusive distribution of SoZo caps to CED....are you saying they are no longer the SoZo caps we all come to lve and enjoy? this would surprise me, as John is still tied to the SoZo brand and FB page.ValveStorm wrote:Coldengray has it right. Who is manufacturing / designing these Synergy Royal Caps?

Here's a thread with some additional information:
http://el34world.com/Forum/index.php?topic=20061.0
But seriously, has anyone compared Sozo's or Synergy caps to Mallory 150's in one-2-one taste test (pardon, ear test)? Couldn't any slight tone variation between them be simply compensated for by adjusting the tone controls on the amp slightly?
