I think it sounds very good. Where did you catch wind about those Riken RMG’s. I built a whole plexi using them but only because I got lucky enough to have found a guy in Japan who was able to compile a whole set for a build.

I was looking for high quality resistors for my prototype amp back in 2011 and found them at Angela Instruments. I liked their writeup on them and grabbed a bunch. They sound great in that build. Angela still has them, but not all the values you'd need anymore.

Yes. As I understand from all that I’ve read about them, they are the Rolls Royce Gold Standard for Top Audiophile stuff. But like so often with pinnacle vintage, no longer made and difficult to find. I got a little lucky with that find but it wasn’t cheap. I used them for an EVH Plexi, post VH I with the later 2” OPT/70’s Bell End Drake Choke. The amp is an absolute BEAST with one of the lowest noise floors I’ve ever heard in a plexi. I think that could be attributed to the Riken’s. All Mustards in that amp too.

Just sent a pic. 👍 Only change is the amp has 1 Erie dual 16uF can for the preamp instead of 2 16uF single cans.

I think the SUSTAIN on that clip was incredible! I'm interested in that guitar spec as well, Musikraft or Locke body/neck?

Yeah, it was really easy to play. It's a Musikraft neck and body.

I am trying to upload a RWTD clip to soundclick.com but for some reason I can't get it from my iTunes to Soundclick. Was never a problem in the past. Has something changed about uploading?

Got the sounclick thing figured out. Here is RWTD with 50 watter flat out. Even have the NFB resistor lifted completely. Panned all the way to the right side, opposite Ed. Variac at 90 with another variac between the head and cab. Greenback M types w/55hZ cones.
