I've got some reel-to-reel recordings I'd like to get into the computer.

How the hell can I do it?

got a audio interface? got recording software?

If so hook up the outputs of the tape player to the audio interface set up your software arm your track hit play on the tape machine and hit record in your software.. mind your input levels as so not the clip the signal.. and youve got it...

If not go to a studio they can do this for you.. for a small nomanal fee..

your reel to reel machine has outs.
run these into your computers ins of your sound card.
use something like Steinberg's Wavelab and record them onto the computer.

What's the best format to put it into after I get it into the computer?
Like maybe a 320kb/s mp3? Or is FLAC worth it with a tape type transfer?
