I'm not quite sure how to hook all this stuff up.
I have a MacBook Pro with Firewire 800 in/out, 2 USB ports.
The M Audio ProjectMix I/O has a Firewire in/out
The Glyph external hard drive has Firewire 800 and 400 or SATA or USB in/outs.
Anyone familiar with the best ways to chain this stuff together?

If there's no quiet, there can be no loud.

Have you figuered this out yet?
I think you can go Macbook FW 800, Glyph, FW 800 to 400 converter, Soundcard
I'm thinking about investing in Mac Book Pro myself. It seems like a great solution when you need to go mobile. At the moment I have two (old) desktop computers. One at the rehearsal studio an one at home. I use a portable harddrive and a Focusrite Liquid Saffire 56+Octopre.

Yep, I figured it out.
Used a USB calbe from the DAW to the Mac.
Then a firewire cable from the HD to the Mac.
Works great!
