Tube Mic Preamp

I've been considering investing in one of these to put before my digital multitrack recorder to improve the sound quality a bit:

what do you guys think? the mics I'm currently using are an SM57 and SM58 (and maybe soon a Studio Projects B1 Condenser), is it a worthy purchase to improve the sound? the price seems pretty good...

No. I think I had a rant about these somewhere around here already. :) The preamp will likely be no different than what you have at the moment. Save your pennies.

Dont waste your money on anything Berringer!!!! A good condsnser mike is a good investment but be careful, get a mic that will handle high volumes. stay away from cheap condensers you will hate the sound. Shure KSM 44 or Neumann TLM 103 or TLM 193 is a pretty safe bet, higher priced AKG condensers C414 B-ULS are good too.
