Damn. I saw it coming but I still got excited. Not that I could afford THAT kit right now but it would be an awesome kit if it was possible.

Yeah. Transformer costs would be significant. The MM PT/OT set is $850 USD before tax or shipping. AFAIK nobody else offers a SVT transformer set without special ordering.

Sorry, that was pretty cruel.

I can't see a set of SVT transformers for under $600 or so. Definitely an expensive project.

I believe weber's kit is called ab200 - there will be a 4xkt88/6550 option and a 6xkt88/6550 option

W*ber's AB200 kit has already been prototyped, i.e. a working amp, and word from Ted is they are waiting for the transformers to be available in June.

Also, Mojo Musical Supply has SVT trannys. I think they are out of stock on the OT at the moment. With dealer pricing the set is $362. I shot them an email to see when they expect to have them.
Peace,
Curt

I'll build the MFer! Of course, I already have an SVT Classic, two Marshall Super Basses, a Bassman 135 and two Blonde Bassmans. Yeah, I used all of the for BASS.

Didn't Chris Squire all time great basiest from Yes, use or still use a Marshall Super Bass plexi? I built a Super Bass Plexi and the thing is awsome with an Ampeg SVT cab.
May the good Lord take a liking to you!

OK, while you're at it make a Marshall MAJOR kit! Complete with a 300 watt rated attenuator/space heater combo kit...
