Hello Guys,
After your experiences with the Head master, if possible.
I'm considering grabbing a headswitcher in a vain effort to reduce some gear real estate .
I've got a Caswell-ish/Jose-ish ptp re-built Laney GH50L, and a "real" SLO100 and possibly want to park them on the same cab in a WDW rig.
I was looking at the Diamond/CAE collaboration, and although it has a horribly diamond-like price tag, it does has the advantage of a line level out to drive effects (I have ways around that, not a deal breaker), and the choice of an un-buffered input (ala the Radial VT, which I didn't rate and moved on - not great with anything beyond mid gain and 100 watts).
I use pedals before the amp's input, and sometimes a buffer doesn't play nice sonically with pedals going into it. Years ago, I had the Axess HS-2, and whilst it was the great (dead silent), the BS2 buffer built into it wasn't de-selectable, which imparted too much colour in the grand scheme of things, taking away the character of the amps a bit.
Is the Head Master buffered on the input? How well does it play with pedals?
Also, is the Head Master fine with attenuators on the speaker outs?
I want to get this one right, any help appreciated.
Cheers
Chris.....
