i bought a superlead OTfrom ****** some time ago but haven't had the opportunity to try it yet !
the problem is that where i am actualy i can't test a 100 w superlead easily !
i read they were dark sounding and as i prefer my 72' superlead to myu 69 plexi one as it's brighter, maybe i might prefer MM.
i heard some clips recorded with MM trannies that i really loved.
those on metroamp website when Georges compared his metro dagnall clone , MM OT and 70' dagnall OT (with free alright now and tush zz top clips) .
i also have a dagnall OTclone i didn't try yet.
in fact i bought them before i found that original 72' dagnall OT and rebuilt my 1959 slp with hand wired board (nos allen bradley and mustard caps) , so i have them spare if one of my 100W superlead OT'S blow up.
i have to try them when i will be able to do so.
i have a marstran OT made by heyboer that is a good sounding OT but doesn't have exactly the same typical Drake "grind" tone i have in my 66 Park 45 with 784 103 OT (kt66) ,; that's why i thought about MM and they are known to be very good.
