drake 2" output....

Post by monsterwalley » Wed May 07, 2008 8:08 am

I used the search function trying to find this out first :x I know ive seen the answer somewhere.

I started my 67 100watt build with the 2" drake opt and the hole spacing is off. You guys have been re-drilling the holes correct? Also
on the right side (facing front of chassis) the tranny bracket covers the
1/3 of the grommet. Is it ok to re shape that part of the bracket for a clean shot into the chassis? or am I missing something already?

Yeah, I used the holes twards the back of the chassis and redrilled the holes to the front of the chassis........I found that using the holes already there(near the back side of the chassis)and drilling the front side holes kept the gromets clear.....
Hope this helps.....

I also redrilled the holes for the choke......My choke was right up against the preamp capcan where they were origionally stamped......

Hey, thanks for the info!
I was thrown by all the posts I could find that said " a little messaging on the holes" :? I ended up drilling two new holes on the choke side of the OT. The grommet ended up being ok, tight but ok. I knew it would be off but didnt think that much
I guess the jtm 45 kit spoiled me
I'm on a roll now tho....
