50watt (784-139) OT ok with 4 x 6v6 Tubes ?

Post by pongo316 » Wed Apr 22, 2009 5:44 am

Is it safe / ok to rum 4 x 6v6 tube with a Marshall 50watt transformer instead of the Standard 2 x EL34 tubes?

Will I still be able to use the standard taps 4 8 16 on the ot with this set up ? Or will I have to use original 8ohm tap convert's to New 16ohm top , Original 4ohm tap convert's to New 8ohm tap ,

Transformer that I'm thinking of using 1102-118 PT , 784-139 OT

Any information or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

No problem! No need to convert taps!

The fault almost always is sitting in front of the amp
