Suitable replacement PT ?

Post by redozzman » Tue Aug 10, 2021 7:47 pm

Will the following PT specs work in a 69 100 watt Marshall metal panel amp.

org-0 red-120 plus 220-240 taps
reds-180v
red/blues-150v
red/yel-0
grn-grn/yel-grn 6.3VCT
blue-blue-100 bias.

Thanks for any input? This is a heyboer PT

You didn't list the current rating on the high voltage secondary winding or the 6.3v winding. As long as the PT was intended for a 100 watter, this should be fine. The 180-0-180v winding will likely give you the final B+ that you normally see in your amp. The 150-0-150v winding gives you an option for lower B+ voltage should you want it.
