anyone have any experience with the marstran 100 dagnal clones ? Similar to the metro dag clone is my guess but i'm sure there are some differences.

Ive used 2 Marstran trannys in builds and while Ive never had any other Drake clones to compare I thought the amps sounded awesome. I still do. So, I dont know if it helps you make a decision, but Brian and George both seem knowledgeable enough about vintage marshalls in those subtle aspects, Id feel safe in ordering a tranny from either.

I don't doubt it will sound great, just wondering what differences to expect. I will likely find out myself when i order one. I love trying out different OT's and subjecting them to my abuse.

If you are comparing OT's, please make some sound clips, but be sure to make the clips with the same settings, guitar, speakers and so on, just for the sake of science. ;)

I currently use Brians power and mains tx's for my 12 series 100W and a tremelo 50W. They are superb.

Clips will arrive when i get round to getting some recording equipment sorted...(gots to keep paying to keep the queen in her bangles... ;-)
