1959SLP OT

Post by Hammer Down » Fri Dec 29, 2006 10:38 pm

Hey guys what OT transformer would perfectly fit without having to drill holes or modify my amp. It's a '94 1959SLP. I want to go with the Metro OT (C1998) if this fits the bill... Thanks.

Do you have to rebias the amp after you install the new OT or is doesn't matter. :) :)

George's Dagnall clone is attached with the vintage style end bells and therefore will fit in perfectly. And after you've swapped it in, you'll hear, what you've missed tonewise such a log time

Just two days ago I've swapped George's Dagnall clone in a customer's '94 2203, which I've rebuild to a 3-channel-head 10 years ago - and after that I've had problems to avoid, that he doesn't kiss my feet :D

Do it! Your ears will make eyes!

If your bias was correct before, then rebias the amp isn't needed!

The fault almost always is sitting in front of the amp

I think you do have to specify the vintage style end bells though, I don't believe they come stock do they?

Awesome thanks guys. I saw that under the Metro OT (C1998) has the option for $20 for the vintage style bell ends. Good deal. Thank you.
