are the mercurys worth double the dough? how do they compare to say Georges plexi spec 50? thanx

I have a plexi 50 watt OT that might be worth dupping. It was from obsolete electronics and it is better than anything else I have. Hopefully Georges 50 watt plexi spec one is of the same vein.
