1969 Marshall plexi pt question

I have a 69 100 watt marshall with a replaced power transformer that hums when the standby is in the not-play position. Its not through the speakers. My question is if I can get an original trans from say a 73-74 100 watt Marshall should I go with that for the vintage value/sound? Or should I get a transformer from Chris ******/aftermarket transformer?? Please explain your answer Thanks MArk
