Where can I locate /buy transformer covers ? (steel caps)

what kind of transformer? If it is a Heyboer, I would contact them directly or you can try George, I seem to recall he had some @ his shop last time I was there... he may sell you one as well if he has any lying around...

We have plenty of extras laying around. if you want the stock Heyboer parts, just give us a call.
