Hi
Is that drawing right (red letters are from me)
The terminals for the speakers are opposite to the mercury site? (For the 16 and 4 ohm wiring the 8-ohm is the same?)
On the original drawing from radio spares there is no hot for the speaker terminal.
Were do I get those tag board to modify my marstran rs opt?
Beside the tag board for my marstran rs opt
I would like to find an easy solution to switch between 16 ohm 8 ohm and 4 ohm or(maybe I add an extra tag board and solder instead switching)
thank you

OK...the PDF document on these trannys is incorrect for the 8 ohm wiring. F should be the (-) while C and E are the (+).

the 8ohm wiring is same on the marstran and on the mercury diagram.(e - and f +)?
on the 16ohm ,(marstran is -A and + B)
(mercury is +A and - B)
on the 4ohm,(marstran is -A and + F)
(mercury is + A and - F)

OK, Here's Mercury -
4 Ohm - A=(+)
F=(-)
8 Ohm - C/E=(+)
F=(-)
16 Ohm - A=(+)
B=(-)
I honestly don't see why Wallace's trannies would be any different since I know he's pretty adamant about being "era correct" with his stuff. I've spoken with Mercury about this issue with their PDF document as they had an older document that showed the 8 ohm backwards from the 4 and 16 ohm relative to the actual schematic I drew out to figure out how the secondary was wired. Here is the scheme I drew for the occasion. This is how I figured out that the 8 ohm scheme was backwards relative to the other two. The dot you see shows the "start" winding while the one opposite the dot is the "finish" winding...on the 4 and 16 ohm the start is always the (-) but the 8 ohm showed the "start" winding as the positive.
After speaking with Mercury regarding the incorrect document and having them confirm that their older document was the correct one, the older one made more sense as it showed that the "start" winding is the (-) in all configurations. So I corrected the schematic and the corrected schematic is shown below -

Thank you for your info
The first 3 diagrams are straight from the marstran website
I have only added the red letters.
So mercury and marstran are wired opposite and if you are right then mercury still shows the wrong wiring for the 8ohm on there site.

Yes...Mercury's PDF showing the 8 ohm wiring is incorrect. I stated that in my post above. I spoke with Mercury on the issue and they confirmed this and stated that they're in the process of fixing it.
