Drake transformers 50 watt

Post by vaughn38 » Fri May 21, 2010 5:28 pm

Hi guys,This is my first post.. I have these drake transformers that I took from a Marshall 50 watt jcm800 1983 model. Are these worth anything? I would love to try and build a amp myself ,But not knowing what everything does keeps me from trying. I bow down to any of you with the knowledge to do so.

You can use them for a build.

They look nice, if you want to know the value I saw the same trio go on Ebay 2 months ago for $175. If you would like to sell them I would be more than interested.

DON'T SELL OR USE THOSE TRANNYS!!! Should you decide to use them they will cause an atomic explosion of epidemic proportions. Send them to me and I can properly dispose of them for you.

In all seriousness...if those trannys are good they'd be great for using in a clone build.

Lo......l I plan to take the money and buy either a Egnater Tweaker or a Lovepedal or a digitech gsp1101,or a nice delay pedal, I cant make my mind up

the amp I took them from always worked fine and was loud It had your basic bad tube problem,s volume fade.and a scratchy mid pot..Is there a safe way to check them?

I have 8 Marshall knobs with the pointer on them.I think they are rare???
