Hello there. Has anyone had any experience with the plexi 100 tranny package that is sold at ceriatone? I'm really looking at a tight budget for this plexi project so any help is apreciated. Thanks

Nik's supposed to have nice stuff, but won't the shipping from Malaysia kill your tight budget?

Well not really... He sells the PT OT and choke for $180... I'm a little scared because they are so much cheaper than the other tranny prices i've seen.

FWIW many at the JTM45 message board are very happy with Nik's stuff though.

Nik's trannies sound good. FWIW, we had an ampfest a couple years ago that had 4 18watt TMBs there, one which was first-time buildusing one of Nik's kits. While all of the builds sounded great, the ceriatone kit was the favorite out of everyone there and it used his stock trannies. His transformers are fine. That being said, alot of people do usally just buy his stuff without the trannies and tubes and just buy that here to save on shipping.

Ok great, thanks for the words. I was just concerned because the prices for trannys here are sooo much more than the $180 for everything... I am planning on getting the board kit from metro. I'm just piecing everything together. Actually trying to get a list of parts together before I start( and from where).
