Here's my replica of a '61 Fender VI.

Well, it's not a bass for me unless it's a Jazz Bass. So in that respect I like offset bodies.

I've got an original one, and I use jazzmasters in my surf band. I think the offset bodies are the most comfortable of the fenders. Phil
