Damn, Andy. Is that the Paul you just got recently?

Good luck.

My first "playable" guitar was a cream SG copy. It was my sole, prized possesion. The bass player pulled on his cord and his amp came tumbling down on my axe which was on the floor  . Broken neck. I fixed it up and it played OK. Lesson learned. I bought a guitar stand the next day....

I'm sorry to hear that Flames.

Two days after I bought an LP custom back in '89, it slipped out of the stock strap holders and fell face-first on a concrete floor. Luckily, the only damage was a paint chip on the body. Needless to say, I bought some strap locks that afternoon and now use them on all of my guitars!

You feel my pain far worse than I myself do, I think!!! And I have no one to blame but myself.

Thanks for the support guys......yes, the crack is as long as it looks on the treble side. And until I was looking at the pics again last night I didn't realize there was a hairline extending further down the bass side, all I thought there was were the jagged cracks at the first fret!!! That may actually help me to spread the crack out.

No, I've had this one since I bought it new in '96. Just in time to play one weekend with it and have my band fold.
