I'd get either a 60s original sg jr. they are are not overly expencive yet.
if you want humbuckers I'd recommend a tokai sg175 from edo studios. the tokai has a 1pc honduras mahogny body, brass saddles, aluminum tailpiece and good caps. its the best new SG IMO. mine is lightweight, well balanced and sounds tight and punchy but still has real nice highs

Wife is gone but are the Maltese still there Mike?? I know I will have to get an attenuator as my dogs can't take the volume levels, even in my 2475 sq. ft. house

Yes I am on dog patrol this weekend!!! my wife is running a marathon in Traverse City, MI... I got a pretty decent sized house & when my wife is sleeping I can still run a 100w @ -8db and not wake her up...
