Identifying an Ibanez pu ?

I pulled this thing out of a '90 Ibanez RG550 (Jem with no handle looking guitar). I put a Dimarzio Super 3 pu, cause thats what Greg Howe was using. Well the Dimarzio wasnt as sweet sounding and sounded 'constipated' in comparison. I traded the guitar with the Dimarzio still in it. I just recently have been using the original Ibanez pu. It looks just like a Seymour Duncan, except that the pole pieces were painted black. It reads 8.2 K on my meter. I have old Ibanez pamplets from that era but cant substantiate who made these pu's. It isnt a Dimarzio mde pu, nor is it a Dimarzio made for Ibanez (IBZ) pu. I'm leaning toward it being a Seymour Duncan made pu, since it essentially looks and sounds like a '59. Can anyone tell me for sure ?
