Re: Got a full Callaham bridge setup
Well, I am pleased to say that the bridge/trem swap made a significant improvement also on the plugged sound. Definitely closer to a vintage/60s type sound - more open, stringy, piano-like. I forgot to mention how the swap really improved dynamics as well, which was especially evident when plugging in.
I want to get a new nut for this guitar. Anyone know what the CS Relics use? I want a bone nut. Some of the plain strings sound noticeably better on fretted notes than open.
All in all, I am very pleased. I still think the PUs ca be improved. There's a set of Don Mare Josie/VaughnC winds for sale on TGP right now...if I hadn't already ordered directly I would have jumped on them. I'm still a good 3-4 weeks out.
