Not blasphemy... truth. Those pickups are some of the best shit to come from Gibsons pickup dept, IMO. Lotsa balls, clarity, sustain, etc.
Not exactly what I'd call a PAF... it seems to have a little more of everything: output, bottom, top, mids. Not enough to be annoying, but enough to make it one hell of a punchy bastard.

That 498T for the bridge is SOOPA monsta killer. Beats the shit out of 57 classics, burstbuckers, etc, as long as a PAF is not expected. Much more of everything with that pickup. It pushes a meek amp right into the fight, no prob.

I work with a guy who's got a pair of these in a 90's Les Paul Studio, and they are great pickups, massively punchy.

Anyone have a rough cast alnico 3 bar they want to sell? thinking about trying that in the neck.
