Especially for Fill, whom I thought of when I watched this clip:
Allen Collins

Hey Dave, my buddy is currently building a 3/4 scale SG body w/bookmatched flame maple cap over mahogany body, flame maple strat neck, and strat pickups. Chris (my buddy) had offered to build me a custom one off guitar, so I came up with the idea for him to build me a regular non-reverse lefty firebird body with a right handed tele neck (or reverse headstock neck). Since a tele's headstock is fairly similar to a firebird's headstock shape I thought it would be a very cool look. The main issue for me is deciding which type of pickups to use, and how many. Lately I've been vacillating back and forth between mini humbuckers or P-90's in this guitar.

Thanks Ralph, JW is of course the FB man no doubt.
Sounds like an awesome geetar Dave with the 3/4 scale SG body and Tele reverse head stock, very unique.Just recently having been forced to sell one of my guitars, it had to be my 1952-56 Goldtop conversion as she would sell the quickest.
I will miss those '52 P-90's, now no P-90 guitar, but topping those will be hard to beat.
Good to be back home on the Metro forum :)

Had a different effect on me. Seeing Allen again (regardless of what's in his hands) just makes me want an Explorer sooooooo bad. Perhaps one day I might have a penny in me pocket! :(
So I like purple, okay!!!!!!

"Dave" aka yngwie308, the credit you cited for the SG build you gave to yourself "Dave", but the commentary was posted by "Gregg" aka Lefty Lou whose buddy Chris is building this guitar. The body is already done and looks magnificent. Speaking of P-90's, I installed (2) Lollar P-90's in my R52 lefty Gibson Goldtop LP and I really love them. I think Jason Lollar uses Alnico 5 magnets in his P-90's that are slightly de-magnetized so that you get the crisp clear tone of A5 magnets but compression when you need it by digging in more.
