This beast is almost finished. Original specs except for the SD Custom 78 pup. I'm making the brass nut today and I'll finish setting it up.

Divebomb,

Did you make the neck or was it outsourced?

Thanks!
I even cut the pickguard out with scissors and smoothed over the edges with a soldering iron. No, really I did!

I would say "Ship it out to Eddie himself", but could you imagine him on it now ? Man, he would be SO out of tune. Eddie obviously has been spoiled by success in more than one way. I so admired how he kept a Fender bridge in tune. I have never been able to. So its gotta be a floyd for me, if I'm using a bar (most all the time).

That is an AWESOME piece of work there though. I bet it will sound SCARY close to Ed's from that era !

i got one of divebombs bodies and the way the pickup is slanted in there and the route like the frankenstrat guitar had makes a difference tone wise getting his sound with the early plexis...

I love you guy's ! Ya'all understand it, you get it ! These seemingly 'small' details DO make a difference, as you all so readily know.

This is the Destroyer I make.

I can make the neck out of whatever you want and bolt on too. This one in the pic is set.
The key to building a good EVH replica is to do it in the order that Ed did it. If you want a red Franky you have to start with a good black and white one. If you want a Shark you have to start with a good Destroyer (clone hopefully).

Hey Divebomb, not tryin to change subjects, but do those Floyd trem. blocks you sell (the fatter ones) fit new Floyds with no modifications ?

Hey, don't change the subject!
Only kidding!
Yes, they fit Original Floyds and most Licensed that I've run across.
