Hi guy's, just wondering if anyone has a Musikraft strat neck, and if so, how is the overall quality ? I am in need of a replacement neck, and have been checking around. For what I want, which is basically a late 60's big headstock, vaneered maple cap fretboard, ala Hendrix, this is the only company that does it. One person told me that the build was nice, but that thier was no grain 'lines' to the wood, and a friend who has a neck that I havent yet seen, took it to a local luthier, and the luthier told him it wasnt anything special. This particular luthier is very critical. He really only likes his own work. Has anyone here tried a Musikraft neck ?

hmmmm

Warmoth does those type necks. Plus if you call them they will build it to special specs.

I WISH Warmoth did make what I wanted, cause then I woul be confident in ordering, since Warmoth is top notch. However, Warmoth only uses the vintage truss rod with the small strat headstock. They also only do a one piece maple or slab rosewood type fretboard. The guy's at USA Custom Guitars, who used to be Warmoth employees, do not do a 'round lam' vaneered fretboard either.

Musikraft is the only company that I've found who can make a neck like I want. There's just something cool about those late 60's maple round laminated fretboard necks that I love.
