Ive tried it... its a really hot sound, but doesnt have a lot of character, IMO. Tons of punch and high end, but not much of a "complexity" to its tone. Great for speed riffing and sweep picking, but I wouldnt use it for Allman Bros covers!!! :lol: :lol:

What I DO like about it is that it sounds like a PAF ... just a super hot one!

IMO, other "hot" pickups like the JB have a very signature sound to them. I actually like the Distortion quite a bit but ultimately want something that cleans up better and has an airer quality that you only find with lower output pups.
