This is a pretty good deal. I got one of these when they came out and was pleasently surprised with it. The pickups sound pretty good.

Don't bother the feel/ neck sucks out of the box... lifeless..picked up two of 'em off the hook and played the better one.
I guess if one were to "set it up" to their taste it would make a small difference.
$700 list..C'mon.. That sale price should be list...
Definitely has the looks. I played it 5 minutes to try to like it but I put it back on the hook...and didn't take another look...
Fender Marketing just like Gibson's new slogan... "Inspired by"

I gotta dis-agree. I think it plays pretty good and the pick ups sound right. No, it ain't a '62 but it doesn't cost $20K either It did need a set up and the neck bolts were loose when I got it, though.
George and gutpile played it. What did you guys think?

Ah I found it, it was $399. I bought one on 2/5 for the $599 and then they put it on sale! I emailed to get the $200 reduction refunded as they have a 45 day best price matching deal. Hopefully they don't screw me out of it somehow

I played it when it first came out and was pleasantly suprised as I posted at the time. The spacing of the strings isn't strictly vintage, but I liked it better than an EJ and a Clappo they had!
My next Strat if ever from Fender would be the Custom Shop '69
