I have a Hagstrom Swede, which I really like -- it has tone selector switch (you can see a schematic here) with one position which I pretty much leave it in all the time (one of the positions is muddy, the other one is nice and a little mellow but middy -- that's the one I like a lot -- any guesses which one that is?). . . Because I like it so much, I want to try wiring one of my other guitars to have it set like that all the time. The circuit is a little different from the Swede otherwise (it's a standard 2 humbucker, 2 volume, 1 tone, 3-way pickup selector wiring).
Am I correct in saying that all I'd need to do is wire either a 4700 pf cap right before the output jack or run a .015 uf cap from output to ground, depending on which position I choose?
I think I have the right idea; just looking for some confirmation before I pull the iron out. Thanks!
Wiring question. . .
