I've check out a few ML at dare I say GC. (I don't mind my local G.C) Anyway I've been wantin' to get a ML myself and found one or two out of the dozen US models that had what I was lookin' for, witch is to say different from the strats I have.I'm stil holding out for a ML that just feels and sound right but that one and $ is holding me back as of now.Good luck with your search ,and if you would keep us updated on what you find. Ithink I'm in the same boat as you :) . Chad

If you buy a 77, 78, or 79 vintage Dean, you won't ever lose your money.

Out of the *******'s of guitars I have owned, there was a Dean made in 77 that was my favorite, hands down. Delta broke it, Luther Valdez did a terrible job repairing it, and I'll never be the same. I hold this grudge since '84...

I have no idea what the modern guitars are like, but his handmade stuff was really insane.

I hope it's not that deadly black mold that makes all my gear smell good.

I played on a late 70's one that was very nice. I have one of the cheapy korean ones that I bought back in high school. I'm tempted to put a "Frankie" paint job on it  (My tribute to Dime and Ed  )

I've been after a black Dean Vee with cream binding round the whole guitar for some time. However, I'm not sure such a Dean exists - probably a custom job.

Ive always wanted a white one with black binding and black hardware. Dimbag had a cool lookin one back in the 80's.
