I actually prefer the late 65's with the big cbs headstock. I guess the best thing about the 54-mid '65 strats is that many of them (particuarly the late 56's - mid 57's) had a very cool soft v to c sorta back contour. I'm sorry, no guitar is worth that kinda money. I know many go well beyond that, but those have famous ties, like the 'Woodstock' strat. A million wouldnt even touch that, even if it was for sale.

Wow, thats nothing compared to an original 1959 Les Paul Standard. They will go for about $400,00.00 EASILY for one in good condition.

I think that these prices are for collector not musicians! A $90,000 strat isnt going to make me a better player and who know what the tone is on these guitars, because they are rare or old doesn't mean that the new guitars today are not as good or even better. I think its just Nostalgia! I think they have just one thing going for them, they have been worked in 40 years of it.

My 1965 Stratocaster, my first guitar was awesome. It was sunburst, had the gold transition logo, but wasn't an L series #107630 was the number if I recall correctly. It had a beautiful neck shape, and being my first guitar, I always wanted a Stratocaster and I was in heaven having one. I love LP's and my FR guitars, but Fender Stratocasters are my first love and vintage ones the most. When my old '54 junior I saw go for $17K after i sold it 11 years before for $3.5K, what an increase in value.
My 1983 Fullerton 1957 reissue Blackie Strat, I have seen dogs topping $6K these days and mine is a minty, minty custom color. It is appreciating well and because it is a damn good guitar, well built and plays as sweet as a bell.
So I think that things that are worth having and are good guitars will increase in value. The Sunburst LP world is crazy insane and I am going to immerse myself in it soon at the Philly Vintage show, I am excited about a guitar show after my many happy days attending and working at shows in the mid nineties, including the Philly show.

Are you going to get it valued? What is the most rarests Fender Strat out there? If there is one!

50's Custom colors are probably the most valuable. Prototypes are the rarest.

Where can l find this list of custom colours? What colour do you desire thats Rare?

I think that there is a website out there . . . stratcollector.com . . . something like that. There has been a lot of debate as to exactly what 50s colors were real and which colors weren't. i.e. "Coral Pink" or "Shell Pink". Word is now is that those are faded Fiesta Red as Fender never made those colors.

My favorites are Fiesta Red and Taos Turquoise.

That's correct WOT, especially in the case of Gary Moore's Fiesta Red Strat from 1961, it has faded over the years, to a shell pink.
