Has anyone else heard of the new for 2008 Les Paul Standards with the new asymmetrical neck shapes?
These are apparently thicker on the bass side and thinner on the treble side, which apparently is better shaped and less fatiguing on the hand with extended playing.
Has this concept been tried before?

Dunno if its been tried before with a Les Paul, but I know that my Warmoth Strat is super comfy with Assymetrical (SRV) contour.

btw...I have to reburn those discs and send them out, some jackass at the musical school I work at seems to have taken them out of my room there. Sorry for delaying so long.

I assumed, perhaps wrongly, that these necks were similar to the assymetric cuts of the EVH Music Man/Peavey/Fender necks. If so, they are super comfortable to play, especially standing up.
At it awhile, still learnin'
