Well she wont ground?? I tried wiring all the ground to the back of the pot nope huge hum and ground issue, I tried to ground to the little screw inside the body cavity in the pickups no?? I'm thinking this body will not ground, I put a jb in here new and put her in working axe all fine I put in the ash body ground issues?? I wrote the guy whom sold and he was like i will take it back Im thinking thats why he sold the dern thing??? Its a MIM ash body blond. I do not understand I tried every single opt of wiring and still ground loud hum.

its only one pickup lol I have done this a million times lol this one wont work, Oh I did change out the mag in the JB to a alnico II and it worked in my other guitar thought maybe that might be it nope?? weird
I got wire on the way specific wire for wiring jacks and guitars, could it be bad jack? I just got from stewmac??

Have you checked all your grounded items with a continuity tester? The following should give you a continuity signal: The jack sleeve, the metal pickup mounting frame, the bridge, strings, pot cans and shafts... even the tuners if you have strings on the guitar. You should have a continuity signal from the jack sleeve to all of these points. Does the pickup have a metal cover? It should have continuity to ground as well, obviously not to the hot lug of the jack, otherwise the pickup may be wired backwards, if its a co-ax (Gibson style) wire. THAT would cause a severe hum situation.

I took all hardware from one single pickup alder body and put it on this ash MIM strat body and I'm talking serious ugly ness from it. No cover on the pup JB model the pick G single hummer and shielded, def strange and mind boggeling never had this issue its a solder plug and play and away i go not this one lol
