degaussed a5, about 7.5k, symmetrical winding - a pat number or a t top.
absolutely no doubt about it

crossroads is not a good option for angus tone IMHO. you need a brighter, and crisper low output pickup

the crossroad is about 8k (so it is written on the website) and from the samples it sounded quite bright (more than the Darkburst that i have in the les paul)

what you would choose for angus tone? Bareknuckle Riff Raff? I don't like the mule from Bareknuckle tho.

get a t top replica from highorder or lindy fralin. both are custom orders. I'm very happy with my highorders. use the seach function BTW

I like the WCR Betset for AC/DC...A5 magnet in the bridge, which is wound around 7.5 or 7.6K, if I remember right.

My '68 T tops do a great Angus, no doubt. Hopefully Gutpile will chime in about his new Throbaks in his SG. Don Butler had a set of these in his LP at the amp show. Unreal. Gut and I both came home and ordered a set.

i'm looking at an original t-tops from 1970 on ebay..if it doesn't get too much expensive i will take it also if it's without the cover (i can always put it by myself). otherwise i already contacted a pickup maker here in italy (pickupmakers.com) and i already explained to him which sound i need  at the price of 125€ with the nickel cover.

+1 on the late 60's-70's Gibson T-tops, good bang for the buck, work good for just about anything, and are real vintage pickups and not wannabee vintage. You can find them on Ebay, just dont overpay.

Hope this helps,
Chris
