Semour Duncan pickup issue

Post by Jeremy1283 » Sun Jan 11, 2015 2:48 am

I have installed a semour duncan custom in a guitar. When I play it certain high frequencies cut in and out like I turn the vol off then on again. It doesnt do it with lower notes.
Yes,
This is weird. Can a pickup be dead in certain frequencies?
it was a ebay buy

Make sure that the lead wire is fully intact. Might pay to cut it back a little and make sure you are getting a good signal. This has happened to me as well.

How old is it?
