Hey guys,

I thought I'd share pics of my attempt at a Kramer 5150 replica.

So what I have here is:

Body: Musikraft "Kramer Pacer" in Basswood
Neck: Musikraft 1 piece "Banana" Maple neck, 1 5/8" nut, 10" - 16" compound radius, EVH Asymmetrical back 81 x 91, 6105 stainless frets, NO finish
Pickup: Smit's Handwound EBS-2 Broundsound humbucker
Bridge: Floyd Rose limited 1984 trem with a Fat Brass sustain block

I used a picture of the real 5150, took it to work (I work for a printing company) and increased it to actual size and used it as a template for the stripes. It worked very well and took allot of guesswork out of the stripes thickness & placement.
I then sealed the neck very lightly with Birchwood Casey Tru-Oil, and Gunstock Wax. I wanted to just lightly seal the neck and keep it as raw feeling as possible. It is an AWESOME neck!

This guitar, with the basswood body & the EBS-2 pickups sounds KILLER! I was concerned that I would not like the tone of the basswood, but it really does sound great! I crank VH tunes with it thru my Bray 4550 Deluxe and lose all track of time!
