Rattling Bridge Parts

Ok all you geetar techies out there, I need to know a trick of the trade.

I got a Tone Pros ABR1 vintage style tune-o-matic bridge for my SG. Nice looking piece
but the A-string adjustable saddle rattles a bit while playing. Electrically you can't tell
but acoustically it drives me nuts!

What can I do!

Wire retainer, correct?
You could first try some drops of wax. If that addresses the issue, then perhaps, as a more (semi) permanent remedy with clear nail polish; comprehensively place your drops, of course.

No wire retainer. The 50's style version here.
Wax sounds easy enough (and can be removed without too much trouble).
I think I'll give that a try. If that doesn't do it I can always give the nail polish a go.

Thanks JimiJames. :jimi: I knew there was a trick or three up somebody's sleeve!

The last problem I had to deal with was a burr on the saddle slot (a different bridge).
Kept cutting the B-string when I would stretch that string a few times. I found a Stew-Mac
product that took care of the problem. I first tried a file so many times I was starting to get
worried about making the slot too big, so I got their tungsten coated string. Just drug it through
the slot a few times until the strings stopped breaking. Cheap and easy fix.

Hey one good favor deserves another. Pass it on.
