If you've ever wonderwed what to do with that $2M that is burning a hole in your pocket...

It'll probably end up in some Japanese guitar vault never to be seen again like so many of the US of A's most cherished guitar jems.

Hell, if I had enough money to buy that guitar I'd play it for a couple of weeks and give it back to Gary 8) .

Apparently Carlos Santana was outbid by the current owner, hard to believe with 5 grammys, ect. There is a lot of traffic about the Greeny guitar on my Gary Moore forum.

Wow ! Why would Gary ever sell that ? I mean it's not like He's broke like Michael Schenker and has to sell it.

I think he was in financial straights.

No, I repeat, NO guitar is worth 2 million dollars. I love how people attach worth to something just because somebody famous used it or touched it. And the sad thing is, it probably is a very fine vintage instrument that will never be used like it should be again, because as you said it will sit in someone's humidity controlled vault. Don't get me wrong, I think nice guitars are beautiful, but they aren't paintings or sculptures. They are meant to be PLAYED.

Reminds me of that scene in Spinal Tap.

Makes as much sense to pay $2M for this as $10K for Jimi Hendrix's toilet seat!

There are plenty of Pauls out there that are as wonderful sounding if not moreso.

Collectors....geez!
