OK, folks - I've never really shown all this before, but I've been inspired by some of your shots recently, so here are some photos my main guitar rig and some guitars.

The rack basically reamps the three Marshalls, which can also go straight to speakers. The Sound Sculpture Switchblade is the anything-mixes-with-anything-midi-controlled-yet-passive-signal-path router. All the pedals, amps, compressors and effects plug into its 16x16 matrix.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy them -- the photos are kinda quick-and dirty, but here goes...


My main axe is hanging on the wall - a '61 RI SG. I love that model so much I have three of them. Two have Fralins, one is stock with '57's. One of the Fralin-loaded ones is set up high with an open tuning and big wires for slide.


My new '71 Super PA, sitting on top a Cordovox leslie cab. I keep the Valve Junior hooked up through the leslie these days.
The pair of Pacific Woodworks cabinets are loaded with high-power EVM-12L's, well broken in. This is for the stereo sound from the rack, and still my favorite speaker setup for recording.

My Metro JTM45/100 on a pair of "1960 Vintage" cabs loaded with Vintage 30's (I'm ordering a few Scumbacks to mix in).

For a minute there I was afraid the Super PA was running the Cordovox........that would be a speaker meltdown to remember!!!!

I'll trust my JTM45 into my hand-built Leslie, but nothing more!!!

No doubt! And it's a 4 ohm speaker to boot inside the Cordovox.

Heck, put the ABR back on or even a Tone Pro's and just get yourself a Neal Schon LP...Even comes with a Sustainiak

The 50th Anniv. is amazing that it sounds like an old stratocaster. Doesn't feel like one though with the contoured heel & all.
The Epi is a freak of modern nature. You cant even buy a pedal fo $99 bucks. How sweet it is that it has 4-8-16 ohm spraker outs.
Drives a 4x12 excellent! 5 watts seems almost too loud for da bedroom...

Yeah, no doubt Billy! I got mine pretty cheap on ebay because it's still a secret that's not widely known (who was it that shared it here in the forum?). I'm going to mod the electronics in mine a bunch, though. There's a switch that turns off the speaker, which might be OK for solid state, but for tubes... Also, the 4 ohm 10" driver is really weak so it's not loud at all. I want to replace that with a higher power driver and it will speak better.

I paid $10 for a photocopied reprint of the user's manual/schematic, because there's just nothing I could find on the web about it. So I'll scan it and post it here, and then at least it will be online somewhere.

Amazing value, huh? The same thing is going on with some of the Behringer stuff -- they are blowing the doors off of the value proposition and some of it sounds really good, too.

I have a friend who did the Mercury Magnetics mod to his Valve Jr. but I haven't heard it yet. We're going to A/B ours soon.

Gave up on the idea of building it yourself? At least the Cordovox and Leslie 16/18 probably don't weigh as much as my handbuilt cab!!! Mine weighs in at a ton and a half........but it sure sounds nice..........

Here's a Leslie-style kit on eBay too.....small and light, 10" speaker but no pics of how the guta are done or anything -- I'd e-mail for more details before blindly buying.
