Is there any little value swaps, etc, than can get a 50 watt 1987 closer to a 50 watt hiwatt dr504 ?

I"m no Hi-watt expert, but their preamp circuits are drastically different.

Great, thanks, i'm sure the transformers are different in this scenario, but it would be interesting to see what can be done 👍
