George, FYI...

The instructions don't cover installation or wiring of the HT fuse holder. I can figure out from the pictures and diagrams that the side terminal connects to one of the F2 positive terminals, and the back terminal goes to the board. But you may want to add this to the step-by-step instructions, it looks like it was omitted.

Oh and one more thing... I'm not sure if this is an instructions problem or an inventory problem, but the instructions say to use lock washers on the PT bolts. Well, my kit only came with one lock washer that would fit a PT bolt.

I saved that lock washer for the rectifier bridge, since the instructions say the hardware sequence is very important there to prevent movement of the bridge.

Not a big deal, just slowed me down a little as I searched for the missing lock washers.

Noticed that today too.I'm getting everything laid out for next weekend when my son gets home and thought I'd do a little fitting.Noticed same as you that there is only one lock washer big enough to go on the PT.
Thanks for you progress shots so far; it'll help a lot come next weekend :D

So far so good on the directions, but there's a typo on pg 18, step C. You describe the PT center tap wire, when it should be the OT center tap wire being twisted with the choke wire. You might want to change that from PT to OT for clarity.

PCollen, I see what you mean. That is an advertisement. There is a link up at the top of the page that says "Skip this ad" or something like that. That should get you to the page where you can download it.

If you still can't get it let me know and I'll throw it up on a server for you to download.

Their dynamic links probably change frequently though.

I caught that, too. Looked and looked and looked and couldn't find anywhere where we installed and wired the HT fuse holder.

Another thing I would suggest is to note connections that will get another wire or two added later so that you only solder once.

Q - is the A-B resistor kit missing the 2.7K for V1B? I don't see one and I don't see one on the packing list.

I've noticed one error in the instructions:

In the part where it describes how to wire the PT primary side (sorry, don't have the instructions in front of me, so I can't reference page #), it says that orange=240V and yellow=220V. Likewise, the page in the appendix which has diagrams for 220V and 240V wiring respectively, it shows the same color code. However, the transformer color code diagram in the appendix clearly shows 220V=orange and 240V=yellow.

The correct code is 220V=orange and 240V=yellow. I tried both, and it's clearly the correct code. With 240V wall voltage, I was getting way too high B+ with the orange tap connected, but everything checked out fine with the yellow tap connected.

So, the instructions text needs to be corrected, as well as the diagrams which show detailed wiring for both 220V and 240V operation.
