Post by VelvetGeorge » Wed Nov 07, 2007 5:58 pm

Here is the complete instructions for the 50 watt kit:

http://www.savefile.com/files/1180856" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Also on Metro server:

http://www.metroamp.com/downloads/50_WA ... CTIONS.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

EDIT: page numbers added.

41 pages in a 21Mb pdf file.

Please use this thread to post any suggestions, mistakes, typos etc.

Enjoy!

george

EDIT: I have found a few typos in there. One funny one: in step 10, the OT tap color is spelled "gray".

Also, on the bass specs board layout, the V1 cathode cap is listed as 220uf. I have updated this to 330uf.

Thanks men. I tried to raise the bar again. I hope the large file size won't keep these out of people's hands.
To do it right I had to remind myself that megabytes are cheap these days and that the better images and detail are well worth it.

Of course, anyone who wants these and doesn't have a fast internet connection can email us your mailing address. We'll mail you a CD.

George, these instructions are absolutely top notch. The level of detail provided is amazing, and I think you've succeeded in limiting the number of tech support requests.

I can't wait to get started on my build!

Numbering the pages would be helpful. I printed the instructions out and numbered them by hand to keep things organized. other than that things look top notch. I'm really looking forward to building and hearing my kit. one more thing, does the kit come with a metropoulos head logo? It is a metro after all and the case looks kind of plain with no badge.

Instructions look decent from my end. I'll be clearing the decks (amp build table) for action right after I get my 2nd cup of coffee in me.

50 watt kit showed up on Tuesday, Mercury Magnetics Epi Valve Jr. upgrade yesterday. Looks like I need to go get my 50 watt PT/OT from my buddy Mr. Yates.

Absolutely hands down the most complete, detailed, helpful, user friendly, instructions I have ever read in conjunction with an electronic assembly.

Wow George,
IMO, you've produced quite a gold nugget in that instruction doc. Honestly, if I found that doc as a printed book, I'd buy it.
It's very well thought out and assembled.
BIG THANKS to you for making it freely available.

Pat
