Well it's been a long journey, but after swapping out my PT the amp works! Thanks for everyone's help, both direct and indirect (by using the search function). Also a big thanks to the Metro guys for their help as well.
I think I have a loose connection/ground somewhere though because it is quite noisy. With nothing plugged into the amp, and volume up there is a LOUD hum and even a little bit of radio signal!
Man it sounds good though, even without any break-in it already kicks! But yeah I'm going to do the ol' chopstick trick and try and find any bad solder joints or loose grounds. Could it be a tube as well? Any suggestions?

Did you do all the readings as suggested in the testing section?
If you didn't find any abnormalities it could be a grounding issue or even a bad tube, start at V1.
Cheers,
Dennis.

Hey guys. Well I took out the chassis, fired up the amp and moved some wires around with a stick. No difference. Still loud buzz. I tapped on some solder connections and got a bit of sound from a couple. Does this even mean anything?

Turned out that my Presence pot was a little loose internally. I squeezed it with pliers and it's a lot better now. The amp does hiss more than I would like. My tech friend the level of noise I have is normal for this type of amp. I guess on my next build I'll try the Larry grounding scheme...
Noise aside, the amp is pretty broken in now, I kick started it by playing music through it for 36 hours straight (using my attenuator to control the level when I was home and make it silent when I wasn't or sleeping!). Man it is starting to sound good now!!!!!!!
