Thanks! The thing sounds great...just wish I could play better. :) I attached an mp3 that I recorded this morning. Signal chain is: Agile AL-3100 (sorry guys, but I can't afford a real LP) -> Analogman SD-1 -> Plexi50 -> Avatar vintage 4x12 cab (g12m, not heritage version) -> Shinybox 46mxc(bad ass ribbon mic that a friend of mine makes)/SM57 -> Apogee Duet -> Logic Express. Other than a low-cut @ 70Hz and a bit o' verb, the sound is unprocessed.

Oh, please excuse my playing...

It's great - applies easily, doesn't clump up, and dissolves when re-soldered.

:D

Ok...well, why don't you share the joke with me...

I'm not sure what I could've possibly done or said to you to make you decide that it was cool/justifiable to derail this thread with your "joke". If you have a problem with my use of Dykem, just say so. Bad forum etiquette, dude.

I've only seen Dykem in blue, didn't know it comes in red. Is that the same stuff that Marshall used? Very nice work!

I'm not sure if it's the same stuff Marshall used, but it seems fairly close color-wise and behaves in all the right ways.

Thanks!

It's not easy to find but yes Dykum makes a red layout dye. And by most accounts, red layout dye is what Marshall used. Looks great!

I really liked your; "It's great - applies easily, doesn't clump up, and dissolves when re-soldered." I thought it was your funny comment about the amp. That's what made me laugh.... nothing else, then later on I finally understood you were talking about the Dykem... oh stupid me...

Enjoy the amp looks and sounds great!

Ok, I see where you were coming from now. Yes, that would've been funny. What threw me off was the fact that you quoted my mentioning that I used Dykem. Now that I understand, no harm, no foul.

BFFs?

Thanks for the kind words!
